When you send an invitation with a note, it appears in LinkedIn’s received invitations. Jarvi detects this action and adds it to the history. If the profile accepts, LinkedIn transforms the note into a sent message, which you’ll find in your outbox, and Jarvi then interprets it as a sent message.
